Human Evolution – a work in progress

Item by The Energy Syndicate

Before the arrival of homo sapiens, early humans left indelible traces across the planet. In seemingly untouched landscapes homo sapiens have left their mark for thousands of years. Anthropologists have found homo sapien remains in Morocco dating back 300,000 years. If we use 1 hour to represent that period of time it means that the ancient pyramids were built in the last 60 seconds.

This generation may be one of the most informed – more accessible information and ability to understand what ‘was’, but seem to ignore the process of our and planetary growth is happening right now.

What the next species of human will look like is really a retrospective analysis but it is never just appearance that defines the nature of a species. It is our nature as a species to look at differences and use definitions of our own making to define the qualities that we consider to be ‘more advanced’. To do so really requires an understanding of what is to be - this approach may disguise a failing we can not see or be an entirely appropriate yardstick to assess a new beginning.

The question is, How will the majority of modern day people react to a new species of humans on the planet – especially if they are to us as we are to the Neanderthal, who only live on in our DNA?
