Inauguration Day is approaching. A time for a new President to stand on the stage and take the reins. This year it is going to be anything but normal. As the malaise of days builds a blanket of support around Trump since 6th Jan 2021, the Democrats are in danger of becoming the architects of their own failure by pitting the Republicans against Democrats rather than denouncing the criminal Trump and applying due process once he is no longer President.
On the 10th January, the Energy Syndicate wrote to the Office of Nancy Pelosi - Speaker of the House The following is an extract:
The impeachment of Trump will add no credit to the cause of the Democrats. It is a mistake to try and impeach him. It will make a battle between the Republicans and Democrats - not a sentencing of a criminal.
The mess from the indifference after is going to benefit the fool. A fool that will appear injured to his supporters and some that are not - and so they rally.
At present, Trump appears to the World as disgraced and duly isolated.
The benefits of a successful impeachment are clear. The failure of the impeachment however will make a victory in places where there should be none.
“They tried to impeach me twice – I’m innocent – Done nothing wrong.”
Is that the sort of future sound-bite the right minded people of America want to hear coming from the mouth of the biggest embarrassment they have ever had to suffer?
